I'm 49 years old and I've been overweight for most of my adult life.  I have used food as comfort and medication for most of my life. At different points of my life I have exercised and been pretty fit but it has never lasted. I've yoyo dieted and done fad diets. And even though I would lose weight I would always gain back more than I lost. I started kickboxing at a place in Charlotte about a year ago and liked it but really didn't change my eating habits.  Although I was very consistent in attending classes I wasn't seeing changes so I sort of lost interest.  Then I met Joel.  I started meeting with him a couple of times a week and working out.  Working out with TFI is no joke. They are nice people, but they are serious about fitness.  And about helping you achieve your goals.  I still hadn't really changed my eating habits.  So while I was working out and building endurance I still wasn't seeing changes.  And then TFI taught me how to use food for fuel for my body.  No more emotional eating or eating out of boredom.  Joel taught me that it matters what I put in my body. Now I work out with Kayla twice a week.  She is amazing.  She challenges me every workout.  She makes me feel like I can do anything.  I am so thankful that I met Joel.  The Fit Influence has totally changed my life for the rest of my life. I have lost 50lbs and about 38 inches overall in a little over 9 months.  I am not at my goal weight yet but I know I will be there soon.  I can't wait to see where this journey takes me.
